-- late 1940s to early 1950s hand knit ribbon work suit in a versatile dusty pink hue
-- set consists of a close fitting jacket top and straight skirt

-- waist defined by a wide grosgrain ribbon belt
-- beautiful natural coral beaded dress clips and buckle embellish the jacket
-- the clips and buckle date back to the 20s or 30s and were added by a previous owner
-- jacket and skirt are fully lined by a matching lightweight nylon
-- skirt waist is reinforced by a grosgrain ribbon band attached around the inside

_______ c o n d i t i o n

Wonderfully wearable textile art! Set does display evidence of time and wear. I have cleaned it by hand, overall improving the appearance but a few issues remain. There is faint discolor along the snap front placket and wear on the ribbon belt near the buckle. There are additional faint rust colored spots on the jacket as pictured. The skirt waist appears to have been added to at one point to enlarge and I have left this in place.

The coral dress clips and buckle were added to the set at one point as well and I have left them as found since the addition has slightly altered the piece that I can't easily reverse. These pieces are highly valuable in there own right and this has been taken into consideration with pricing.

Set is structurally sound, however somewhat relaxed and would benefit from a good steam. Truly a rare piece made all the more special by the additions!
